Wottan Storm-V 125 test. Versatile scooter for everyday use.
The 125 cc crossover scooter segment is receiving more and more attention from users and brands, and proof of this is this new Storm-V, the brand's new addition to this segment.
At first glance, we find an interesting model in terms of design, with a marked sporty accent on the front, where the cropped windscreen, the LED lighting system and the bellows on the fork stand out. However, the duality is evident in its GT or Gran Turismo cut, at the rear, where the spaciousness of the seat stands out, both for the pilot and the passenger.

Wottan Storm-V 125 Test
A model with a lot of personality and a very marked look, with it you will not go unnoticed. A wide range of colours, with some very distinctive ones like the unit provided by the brand for testing.
In terms of ergonomics, we find a spacious model, with a generous seat, both for the pilot and the passenger. The seat offers good padding, a lumbar support that is appreciated and a correct position for the legs, with good aerodynamic protection in the lower area. The cut-out windshield offers good protection and with my height of 1.70, I can reach the ground perfectly, with both soles of my feet.
Perhaps, for taller users, the protection is more fair, although nothing excessive that affects the general ergonomics. One notable aspect is the space for the passenger, with a wide and comfortable seat, with well-placed footrests and handholds, which make it a perfect option for day-to-day use and trips outside the city, both on the highway and on conventional roads.

The heart of this Wottan Storm-V is a 125 cc single-cylinder with liquid cooling and electronic injection, which gives us almost the maximum power for the A1 or B license. That is, 14.5 hp very well used, with good delivery from below, with hardly any vibrations, despite being a "mono". The maximum speed of the Wottan Storm-V is approximately 110 km/h, which allows us to circulate on the highway with solvency and above all, with great aplomb.
Perhaps a bit more top speed would be appreciated, but its 172 kg in running order, including the 12.5 litres in the fuel tank, take a toll on it, but at the same time, it offers us the aforementioned poise at this speed, to be able to confidently tackle our daily journeys on large roads.
In the city it is very easy and comfortable to drive, its 14″ and 13″ inch wheels are the compromise between performance and agility in urban traffic. Despite its GT appearance, it moves with ease and urban travel is easy to manage. Where it shows its balance is when driving on a conventional road, with good engine response and certain touches of fun in a more demanding type of driving, where it responds with good weapons.

But these feelings about the Storm-V come in part from its chassis, with the multitubular steel frame, a conventional fork with 37 mm bars and a double rear shock absorber, adjustable in preload. Suspensions with a somewhat hard setting and response, which I appreciate, especially when going through curves, where it is stable.
But if the suspensions respond, the braking system is not far behind. In this test of the Wottan Storm-V we had the opportunity to enjoy the + version, that is, the one that comes equipped with ABS and Keyless system, the only differences with the standard version, which comes with CBS and a conventional key.
The braking system responds with guarantees, good feel of the levers, both adjustable by the way, and with a direct, clear bite and with an ABS that takes time to activate, but when it does, it responds with guarantees of safe braking on any type of terrain and asphalt. Unfortunately, it cannot be disconnected, to force the pace on an easy track.

One notable aspect is its standard equipment and in addition to the aforementioned LED lighting system or the electronic key, we find a central and side stand, a USB socket in one of the glove compartments and an illuminated storage box under the seat.
But if there is one thing that stands out, it is its instrument panel, a 7″ colour TFT screen worthy of high-displacement motorcycles. In addition, it has connectivity, brightness control and, above all, a navigation system by signs. This aspect, which is managed through an App, is easy to read, clear and precise. You can now forget about supports to carry your mobile as a navigator.

As a good GT/Crossover scooter, the loading capacity is another notable point. Under the seat, we can store a full-face helmet and a jet helmet or other items, with two glove compartments behind the shield, one of them equipped with a USB socket, reinforcing its urban character and facilitating its use on a daily basis.
In short, Wottan Motor enters the 125 crossover scooter segment with GT overtones with the Storm-V with a model that stands out for its quality-price ratio, a responsive engine, a chassis in line with its power and high-level equipment, for a price of €3,890 for the + version.
